CFUW and its 100 Clubs Across Canada Mobilize for the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence

Ottawa, November 25, 2017 – CFUW and its 100 clubs across Canada are marking November 25th, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and getting involved in the 16 days of activism against gender-based violence from November 25 to December 10. CFUW clubs will be hosting a series of events and generating actions across Canada such as panel discussions, outreach to women’s shelters, orange wearing days in honour of victims of gun violence, art expositions that highlight issues of gender-based violence, joint letter signings, social media campaigns, and commemorative vigils to raise awareness in their community and call for mobilization to end violence against women and girls.
