Our monthly General Meetings start at 7 pm on the fourth Wednesday of the month in September, October, November, January, February, March, and April. We offer hybrid meetings which means that you are welcome to attend virtually, or in person at the Best Western on Holiday Inn Drive in Brantford.
Meetings start at 7:00 pm sharp.
Please note that we have decided to run our January and February meetings by Zoom only because of the uncertainty of winter weather. This decision is based on our members’ requests and allows our Program Committee to engage speakers from farther afield.
Our monthly meetings are about 2 hours long, and feature a guest speaker, a short business meeting, and a time for socializing afterwards. Our members have asked the Social Committee to reduce the amount of sweets and fruit that a group of volunteers provide each month, in case you are wondering about how big a dinner to have before the meeting 🙂
The Program Committee is pleased to present the following speakers for the fall of 2026:
-
September: Jill Berridge, who manages a large clinic with several doctors and specialists, will discuss the role and challenges of the Family Doctor including the difficulties in accessing them and specialists. (Jill also happens to be the daughter of Janet Kempster, a longstanding member of CFUW Brantford)
October: Rola Berger describes herself as The Decluttering Lady. She will tell us how to declutter and stay organised. This is something many of us are facing as we anticipate downsizing.
November: Tobi Bruce, Head of Exhibitions and Collections, and Chief Curator at the Art Gallery of Hamilton, will share some of the “behind the scenes” work at the gallery such as the process for authenticating works
